Therapy that feels like an afternoon outside.

We treat kids the way kids actually grow — through play, through movement, and yes, sometimes through the back end of a very patient pony. Zion Therapy Services pairs clinical speech, occupational, and physical therapy with The Barn, our outdoor campus of horses, chickens, and gardens.

Our Approach

Clinical care, grown from real life

Traditional therapy happens at a table. Ours does too — but it also happens in a saddle, a garden bed, and a chicken coop. Every child at Zion has a licensed therapist and an individualized plan; where that plan takes them depends on what actually gets them moving, talking, and trying again.

Founded on the belief that kids don't separate "therapy" from "life," we built a clinic that doesn't either. Indoor sessions handle the clinical groundwork. The Barn gives that work somewhere real to go.

Our Therapies

Every child's toolkit looks different

We treat the whole child, not just the diagnosis. Here's what that draws from.

Speech Therapy

Helping kids build the words, sounds, and confidence to be understood — at home, at school, and out on The Barn's trails.

Occupational Therapy

Building fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and independence in everyday tasks — from buttoning a coat to holding the reins.

Physical Therapy

Strength, balance, and coordination work that turns "I can't" into "watch me" — on a mat, a trail, or a horse's back.

Hippotherapy

A horse's movement mimics the human gait, engaging core strength, balance, and sensory processing in ways a clinic room can't. It's real therapy — physical, occupational, even speech — on horseback.

The Barn

One campus, four ways to grow

The Barn is our outdoor therapy campus — horses, chickens, garden beds, and trails, all put to work as real therapeutic tools. Here's the walk through it.

Stop One

Horses & Hippotherapy

Grooming, leading, and riding build core strength, balance, and confidence, one patient step at a time.

Stop Two

The Coop

Gentle, unpredictable, and endlessly interesting — chickens are a favorite for sensory tolerance and turn-taking.

Stop Three

The Garden

Digging, planting, and watering work fine motor skills and sequencing — with snap peas as the reward.

Stop Four

Trails & Outdoor Play

Uneven ground, open air, and room to run — gross motor practice that doesn't feel like practice.

What to Expect

How families settle in at Zion

You're never just a number

Small caseloads mean your therapist knows your child — their goals, their triggers, their favorite chicken.

Play is the work

We don't bribe kids with play after therapy is done. The play, the animals, the garden — that's the treatment.

We grow as a team

Regular check-ins keep you looped in on progress, and give you tools to carry the work home.
